The Gospel message is comprised of three essential components expressed below by the three Rs:
1. The Ruin - People ruined by sin. The individual hopelessly lost in sin.
2. The Remedy - God's Love and Christ's Death for sin and for the individual.
3. The Response - The individual must respond to God's offer of salvation.
The unchanging and essential basics of the Gospel using the common
Unrest, uneasiness, guilt, worry, fear, emptiness, lack of fulfillment, etc.
Your problem is spiritual and serious: your sins are separating you from God.
You know God exists and you must meet Him but what about your sins?
Jesus provided a sample list of sins in Mark 7:20-23.
Read Romans 3:23. God says sin is a problem for everyone. All fall below God’s standard. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Do you agree with God that your sins are the problem?
YOUR PROGNOSIS: YOUR FUTURE?
The end result of sin is death – eternal death and separation from God. Hell.
Read Romans 6:23. God says: "The wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
No one can go to God’s perfect Heaven with their sins. Sin is horrible in God’s sight. It is the very worst thing in His books and He has the last word.
Read Revelation 21:27: "Nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of Life."
ARE THERE SELF REMEDIES?
No. You can not treat the disease of sin to make yourself better. Religion, rituals, good living, and prayers will not cure your sin disease.
Romans 3:20 clearly states: "By the works of the law (good deeds) no human being will be justified (made right with God) in His sight (God’s sight.)
Titus 3:5 says: "…He (God our Saviour) saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy…"
Ephesians 2:8-9 says: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
The remedy for your disease of sin is totally outside yourself.
THE ONLY REMEDY
Romans 5:6 says we have no strength to save ourselves. "While we were still weak, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly."
Have you ever realized that Jesus died for you personally so your sins could be removed forever? God, who hates sin, loves sinners. The only way He could take a sinner to Heaven, is to deal with their sins. And that’s exactly what happened on the Cross. Your load of sins was placed on Jesus, the Innocent One and God punished Him instead of you. Jesus became the Substitute.
Look at these verses again Romans 5:6 to 8: "For while we were still weak, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person – though perhaps for a good person one would even die – BUT God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Isn’t God’s love for you amazing? He loves the unlovely and the unlovable.
WILL YOU TAKE THE REMEDY?
A cure for a sickness might exist, but unless the person takes the medication, they won’t be cured.
Christ died for your sins. Your entire debt, He paid in full. That’s
what Jesus meant when He cried from the Cross just before He died.
John 19:30 says: "When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said: "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."
He didn’t make a partial or incomplete payment for your sins. He paid it all completely. Everything that God had against you, Christ suffered for. Your works can not save you, but Christ’s finished work can! God proved His satisfaction by the resurrection of Christ.
The remedy is Christ plus nothing else. Will you take the remedy right now? John 1:12 tells you the outcome of receiving Christ. "But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God."
John 3:36 says: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son, shall not see life but the wrath of God remains on him."
John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life."
